Ashly AquaControl Portal Software

Ashly’s AquaControl Portal now offered as standalone PC software, allowing users to work offline and to replicate work done on the software to multiple hardware units. The software lets users evaluate, explore, configure, and present an AquaControl installation exactly as it will be used in the field, without being tethered to hardware and integrators can set up settings configurations on a PC then send them on to installers in the field to load onto multiple units, making the integrator’s job easier, quicker and more effective.

Audio-Technica BP898 and BP899 Lavalier Mics

The low-profile (5.3mm diameter) cardioid BP898 and omnidirectional BP899 subminiature condenser lavalier microphones are direct replacements and upgrades to A-T’s existing AT898 and AT899. The BP898 is offered in black-finished models; the BP899 in black or theater beige finishes. Both have attached cables, and are available in varying termination/power configurations for wired or wireless use. The mics’ wide dynamic range and high SPL handling ensures natural-sounding audio that’s ideal for use by stage, lecturers and worship leaders.

DirectOut Expands PRODIGY

The new system update for the PRODIGY.MP multifunctional audio processor adds features such as AutoMix, MirrorMode and the TruePeak Levelmeter. PRODIGY.MP now supports fully automatic mixing of different input signals, such as for panel discussions or multi-language feeds. The TruePeak measurement allows reliable detection and display of inter-sample peaks; while in MirrorMode, selected parameters of a Mirror Unit are automatically aligned with the Main Unit. Meanwhile PRODIGY.MC is enhanced with Summing Buses, to sum several channels in a simple matrix with adjustable output level.

K-array Thunder 2022 KS Subwoofer Line

Thunder 2022 KS sub designs (active and passive versions) extend LF response and increases SPLs. The active Thunder-KS1 l 12” sub (or passive Thunder-KS1P 1) has four 1,500W amp outs with DSP for driving other subs. The 18” Thunder-KS2 1 (passive is Thunder-KS2P 1) has four 1,500W outs. The 21” Thunder-KS3 l (passive Thunder-KS3P 1) has four 2,500W outs; and the double-18 Thunder-KS4 l (also available as the passive Thunder-KS4P 1) has four 2,500W amp outs. The passive-only KSC18P 18” sub is designed for cinema and theater installs.

LEA Professional Upgrades Web and Cloud Platforms

Upgrades for LEA Professional’s Cloud and Web UI platforms provide customers with a seamless and flexible user experience with the upgrade to version 3.0.0.0 firmware for its Connect Series products. The Web UI lets users remotely monitor channel performance on any amp and adjust input settings, signal generator, crossover, EQ, limiter and load monitoring. Via the firmware’s new home page design, intuitive icons provide info on model IDs, network status, amplifier sorting options and a settings import/export feature.

Lectrosonics Silicone Covers

Lectrosonics now offers silicone protection covers for many of its popular transmitters, receivers and recorders. Available in clear silicone (with some in black), these can protect units from moisture and dust, while the two-part, overlapping design makes them pliable for easy installation and removal. Each cover features die-cut holes for antennas and input jacks to suit the individual model. Clear models have raised domes over the LCD screens and buttons for easy viewing and operation while in the covers.

Meyer Spacemap Go Plug-in for Avid Consoles

Meyer Sound announces a Spacemap Go plug-in for the Avid’s VENUE 7 software platform and Pro Tools DAWs. The free AAX plug-in lets Avid VENUE | S6L system users directly access functions of the Spacemap Go spatial sound design and live mixing tool from the console’s built-in touchscreen and control surface. In addition, the new plug-in allows integration of Spacemap Go snapshots into the VENUE master show file to create virtual loudspeaker layouts and automate dynamic panning within the immersive sound field.

PK Sound Trinity Black Line Arrays

Trinity Black is the next-gen of PK’s robotically controlled line source, allowing system operators to remotely vary the coverage in vertical (0-5.5°) and horizontal (50°-120°) planes after the array is flown. The flagship Trinity Black combines analog or AES inputs feeding 6,000 watts of onboard amplification to dual 12” woofers and a CMI waveguide with four 6.5” cone mids and two 4” planar wave HF drivers. DSP includes both FIR and IIR filters. A complementary T218 double-18 sub is also offered.
