Avid VENUE 7.1 Software adds Waves V14 Plug-in Integration
VENUE 7.1 software enables compatibility between Avid VENUE|S6L consoles and Waves’ V14 plug-ins when used with Waves SoundGrid Rack, offering low-latency integration and workflow enhancements. Users can access Waves plug-ins directly from the console control surface without requiring an additional host computer, with the ability to store all Waves parameters within the S6L’s 1,000 available snapshots. Included in the offering are 128 voices, each supporting a chain of up to eight plug-ins available in the S6L and Waves SoundGrid.

Lectrosonics Global RF Scan Database
Lectrosonics’ Radio Frequency Scan Database for audio wireless mic system users anywhere in the world hosts scans in .sdf (Wireless Designer scan data file) or .csv (comma separated values) formats. These files can be used to populate frequency coordination software for analysis purposes and to know what a given RF landscape looks like. Registered users can also upload files for others to access. RF spectrum scans from Hollywood, Singapore, Vancouver, New York, Belgium and Rio de Janeiro already populate the growing database.

Pliant Technologies CrewCom Control Unit
Pliant’s CCU-08 CrewCom Control Unit lets users access up to eight 4-Wire ports for larger scale deployments, while retaining all the same features of the current companion CCU-22 and CCU-44 products. Riedel SmartPanel Audio Monitor App
Combined with Riedel’s Control Panel and Intercom apps, the new Audio Monitoring App (AMA) for its RSP-1216HL and RSP-1232HL SmartPanels let users audio stream monitoring, intercom and control capabilities in a single keypanel. AMA can connect to any SMPTE 2110-30 (AES67) stream on the network and mix the audio directly inside the SmartPanel. Sonifex Dual Mic to Dante Preamp
Essentially two AVN-DIO09 units in a single chassis, AVN-DIO12 is a dual-mic to Dante converter with adjustable mic gain and PoE powering. The unit is, still offering A/D circuitry with a world-class E.I.N. of 129 dB. It has two balanced analog XLR inputs and a Neutrik etherCON connector for direct connection to a Dante AoIP network. Each mic has coarse and fine gain controls, 125 Hz high pass filter, phantom power, tri-color level LED and can be routed via Dante Controller to any Dante receiver. Whirlwind QBOX AES
QBOX AES is a multipurpose testing device for troubleshooting digital AES-3, S/PDIF and analog audio signals. QBOX-AES comes loaded with field-savvy features that let users monitor an AES stream in real time, check the sample rate of the AES stream, and convert an analog signal (MP3 player/smart phone) into an AES stream and more, including a phantom power presence check. The Send level controls Mic, Oscillator and Aux signals sent out the male XLR. Power is supplied by four AA batteries or the included AC power supply.
