Black Box Music supported the European tour for Rammstein with an L-Acoustics K1/KUDO system that "provided high SPLs in all audience positions and a balanced frequency response," according to K System Engineer Ulf Oeckel.
"We were getting an SPL of 110 dB at FOH and 103 dB at the back row with the same clear sound," Oeckel said. "It has brilliant rigging and quick handling, and its exact acoustic imaging provides a good starting point from the beginning. We've been getting a great response from all the engineers I've worked with."
Oeckel also worked with L-Acoustics' acoustic design software, Soundvision, which he called "the most important design and simulation tool available."
The Rammstein tour made use of the L-Acoustics Rental Network across Europe to provide consistent systems in every location. Black Box Music was the main PA and lighting supplier, with supplementary L-Acoustics components provided by Rental Network agents as required.
