Just 12 years after the declaration of Independence, the fledgling United States of America ratified the U.S. Constitution, which in 1788 laid down the plan and a structure for the formation of the federal government. A few years later, in 1791, the federal government passed the Bill of Rights, with ten amendments that expanded the scope of the Constitution, focusing on the personal and legal rights of citizens.
Flash forward to today and issues of constitutionality in general and the Bill of Rights (particularly the First Amendment, with its guarantees for freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly and petition) and the Fifth Amendment (notably those clauses dealing with self-incrimination) are just as hotly discussed in 2022 as they were more than two centuries ago.
Of course, around here at FRONT of HOUSE, the First Amendment’s establishment of the independent press is important to us. We take pride in what we do, but the concept of a “free press” also applies to you. With our monthly print edition, constant updates on both our website (www.fohonline.com) and our Facebook page, as well as weekly emailed newsletters, we’re always looking for interesting items. These include new products, company promotions, general industry news, event announcements and news items, whether it’s a street fair gig for our “Showtime” section, venue installations or a lead on a major tour.
So whether you are an individual, trade association or company (large or small), we’re here to help get the word out on what you are doing, and as always, there is never any charge or fees for editorial coverage. So get involved. Contact us at pr@fohonline.com and take advantage of a little “free press.”
