Beyerdynamic's RM 510 interchangeable ribbon capsule for OPUS 900 and OPUS 600 wireless systems features an ultra-light aluminum ribbon that is approximately 3 micrometers thick. A new sound-channeling technology gives the capsule its cardioid polar pattern, making the RM 510 well-suited for use on stage with wireless microphone systems.
The capsule's treble resonator combines high-frequency reproduction with protection against "plosives." The RM 510 wireless microphone capsule is handmade in Germany.
A sound labyrinth on the rear of the diaphragm and acoustic fabric are designed to improve sound characteristics and technical specifications. A subtle attenuation in the 6.5 kHz range also promises to suppress sibilant sounds and support the balanced and unobtrusive sound of the RM 510, which is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2011.
