The SKM 5200-II is Sennheiser's latest addition to their wideband wireless systems. It joins the SK 5212-II bodypack transmitter and the EM 3732-II receiver family launched earlier this year.
The SKM 5200-II is equipped with Sennheiser's new "Low Intermodulation" mode (which debuted with the SK 5212-II bodypack transmitter). Low intermodulation mode allows the sound engineer to pack around 30 percent more channels into a given frequency band by increasing the linearity of the amplifier's 10 mW output mode, letting the available spectrum be used more efficiently and with increased reliability.
The transmitter can also operate at "standard" 10 mW to extend operating time, or at 50 mW to increase the transmitter's range. The SKM 5200-II handheld transmitter is available now in black, nickel and steel blue and can be fitted with a wide range of capsules including Sennheiser's MD 5235 and Neumann's KK104 and KK105.
Available frequency ranges include 470 to 638 MHz (L-band), 614 to 697.9 MHz (N-US band) and 614 to 798 MHz (N-band, for export use only).
