MEXICO CITY – At Sound:Check XPO 2010, Meyer Sound will be featuring its MINA line array loudspeaker and the JM-1P arrayable loudspeaker. On April 26, 2010, Bob McCarthy, Meyer Sound senior design consultant, will be part of an AES Mexico educational presentation called "Design and Optimization in Live Sound Reinforcement."
MINA, added to Meyer Sound's  MILO, MICA and M'elodie line array loudspeakers, measures less than 472 mm wide and weighs only 21.32 kg, yet produces up to 128 dB SPL at one meter with an operating frequency range of 70 Hz to 18 kHz over a 100-degree horizontal coverage area. As such, MINA can be used as the main system in smaller theatres, ballrooms, and houses of worship, and as fill subsystems for MICA and M'elodie.

The JM-1P arrayable loudspeaker system, meanwhile, is touted for its ability to provide precise horizontal control in a seamless, tight-packed array, with power output of 138 dB max peak SPL at one meter. Since its shipping in 2009, the JM-1P has powered live sound environments around the world, including SXSW 2010 in Austin, Texas and Experience Lagos, a massive worship event in Nigeria.

Sound:Check XPO attendees will have the opportunity to hear the JM-1P in the Uxmal Room, where a DiGiCo console will be on hand for visitors to create their own mix.

Other Meyer Sound systems to be shown at the booth include the UP-4XP loudspeaker, the MM-10 subwoofer as well as the 500-HP subwoofer, an ideal companion to the M'elodie line array loudspeaker. The Galileo 408 processor, as part of the Galileo loudspeaker management system, will also be shown.

In addition, Bob McCarthy will host a SIM 3 Training and System Design seminar in Mexico City on April 27-30. The seminar will be taught in English, with Spanish interpretation available. To register, please go to: http://www.meyersound.com/events/seminars/calendar.php .
