BALTIMORE, MD — Event Tech named Jeremy Meyers account executive. Meyers comes to Event Tech after 13 years at Entertainment Sound Production, where he started as a system tech and monitor engineer and worked his way up to be the lead account executive. An audio engineer at heart, Meyers started mixing audio for local bands and churches in the late 1980s. He has worked with Aretha Franklin, Bon Jovi, the Doobie Brothers, Foo Fighters, Tom Petty and the Boston Pops. In recent years, Meyers has focused primarily on high-end corporate audio, where he has designed and implemented audio systems for Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama, Vice President Al Gore, and, most recently, the White House Correspondents Dinner with President Obama.
“I am very passionate about offering my clients the best service in the industry,” said Meyers. “And I believe Event Tech shares that passion in everything they do.”
“At Event Tech, Jeremy will continue his work with assisting clients in audio system design and implementation. However, he will also be able to tap our deep inventory and resources to offer his clients a one source approach for all their audio, lighting, staging, power distribution, and video needs.” said Mike Aug, VP of sales & marketing at Event Tech.
“Coming aboard into this position was a logical step for Jeremy, I think, and will really allow him to grow with us,” said Eric Maynard, Event Tech president.
“We have always respected Jeremy and his high level of quality and knowledge in audio. We believe he will be a perfect fit for our company model of offering the highest possible level of service. We are thrilled to have him join the team,” Mike Aug added.
