MEISSEN, Germany — An outdoor event celebrating the 45th anniversary for Stern Combo Meissen, a group that has been a favorite in this porcelain-producing mecca since the 1970s, served as the first use for the Aero 12A system from D.A.S. Audio in Germany. Along with Stern Combo Meissen, other bands performing included Musix, Dirk Zöllner and KlosterBrüder.

Licht & Ton Union, D.A.S. distributor in Germany, provided the audio gear for the stage built especially for the event. They flew 12 Aero 12A two-way powered systems, six on either side of the stage, and also used six ground stacked LX-218A subwoofers.

The Aero 12A, part of the new Aero Series2 debuted at Frankfurt's Prolight + Sound earlier this year. The crew lauded the gear and were impressed as well by the power of the LX-218A subwoofers.

"Without a doubt, the new subwoofers provide the Aero systems with yet another precision tool and higher sound quality," said Licht & Ton Union director Andreas Riedel.

The DSP-2060 handled signal processing. It features optimized converters, two inputs and six outputs, nine full bandwidth parametric bands available for every output, a large memory capacity, large display and power supply switch.

Both Jack Palacio, Export Sales Director and Joan La Roda, D.A.S. Audio engineer, attended the premiere, held about the same time as the Showtech trade fair in Berlin, where Licht & Tom Union had a stand presenting the latest D.A.S. products.
