ANAHEIM, CA – Neutrik, designer and manufacturer of the XX series XLR cable connector, introduces its 32 Amp PowerCon for current handling and power transfer at Winter NAMM 2008 (Hall A, Booth #6320).
Neutrik’s 32 Amp PowerCon is a locking three-conductor AC connector system with contacts for line, neutral and premating ground. Designed for high-power distribution systems and supplies for professional audio and lighting equipment and installations, it replaces appliance couplers wherever a rugged solution, in combination with a locking device, is required. The system consists of two connectors – a chassis receptacle and an inline cable connector with locking mechanism.
PowerCon can be used as a power supply interface for industrial applications and has a secure locking system, not available with standard AC power connectors. The connectors fulfill all current UL safety standards and is UL recognized. The PowerCon is a connector without breaking capacity, and should not be connected or disconnected under load or live situations.
