NEW YORK CITY — Cirrus Logic will showcase its latest audio IC innovations in booth #448 in New York City's Jacob Javitz Center as part of the 123rd Audio Engineering Society (AES) Conference, Oct. 5-8, 2007. Among its demonstrations, as a provider of analog and mixed-signal technologies, Cirrus Logic will demonstrate its first new series of audio clocking ICs targeted toward professional audio applications. These new ICs include both clock generation and clock cleanup in a single chip while delivering best-in-category jitter reduction benchmarks.
CobraNet technology will be featured with two demonstrations developed with Attero Tech. CobraNet technology will be used to deliver simultaneous audio and video transport over standard Ethernet networks. Using AtteroTech's Video-Over-CobraNet technology, this demonstration showcases CobraNet's ability to transport real-time media, associated metadata and control to serve the emerging market demands for applications like digital signage, whole-house AV and hospitality video-on-demand.
Also, Cirrus and Attero Tech will showcase a new prototype USB-to-CobraNet adapter that enables a PC's audio playback software to stream multi-channel audio output to synchronized zones across a CobraNet Ethernet network.
In addition, CobraNet Applications Engineering Manager Steve Gray will participate in a panel discussion on "Facility Wiring and Distribution Systems.” This panel session, which will be held Friday, Oct. 5, from 4:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m., will focus on considerations and techniques for audio wiring and routing.
