Noted Sound Engineer Passes Away

SHEPPERTON, U.K. — It is with sadness that we announce the death of friend and colleague John Roden, Paul McCarthey's long-time monitor engineer. The funeral will take place in Surrey, U.K. The family has asked that donations be made to the Shooting Star Children’s Hospice.

Dear everyone,

Apologies if you've already received this info, but just to make sure…

On Tuesday 10 July, John will be in The Chapel of Rest at Lodge Brothers, 7 Green Lane, Shepperton, Middlesex, TW18 8DP, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Cremation will be held at Randall's Park Crematorium, Randall's Road, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 0AG on Wednesday 11 July at 1.15 p m. And then afterwards to the “End of Tour Party” at Halliford Mere Lakes & Pavilion, Chertsey Road, Shepperton, Middlesex, TW17 9NU.

All are welcome.

Please feel free to send or bring flowers, or preferably make a donation. Cheques made out to Shooting Star Trust, sent to Lodge Brothers in memory of John Roden. Please include your name and address. Lodge Bros will accept these for up to one month.  

If you can attend, please send a confirmation e-mail to DJ Howes at howarddjhowes@mac.com so as to give an idea of the number of people the family might expect to attend. Noreen has asked that everyone wears their favourite shirt, and if they have any photos of John, they should bring them to add to a montage at the service.
