LOS ANGELES, CA — For their return performance at the Grammy Awards, The Police made use of two Sennheiser e865 vocal mics, as well as an HSP4-EW headset and an SK500G2 bodypack. The show also made use of Sennheiser RF PM systems. David Bellamy's Soundtronics Wireless and the show's longtime production sound supplier, AudioTek Corp., supplied the sound equipment.

Beyoncé performed using a Sennheiser SKM 5200 wireless handheld with a Neumann KK 105-S capsule, and Shakira performed through a Sennheiser SKM 3072 wireless handheld mic.

More than 40 each of the Evolution Series e602II and e902 wired microphones, as well as 10 e935 and four Neumann KMS 105 microphones, and 16 channels of EW300IEMG2 units were additionally on hand.

In addition to microphones, RF Grammy technician Dave Rickmers, from ATK AudioTek, deployed a pair of A 5000 CP antennas for the PM systems being used by some of the artists. "The antennas are circularly polarized, which is essential for personal monitors, and they're small enough that we could sneak them onto the stage. They covered the stage as well as the hall, which was good because some of the acts performed on the alternate small stage in the middle of the audience."
