Jon Cearing
Audio Engineer

Quote: I like being in the hot seat, where the action is.
After trying his hand at almost every part of concert stage production, including lighting and pyro, Jon Cearing ended up in audio production in 1980, and he's been there ever since. He's been the system operator and/or head electrician at various venues and sound companies, and specializes in monitors, as well as providing FOH mixing, sound tech and system maintenance services.
"Over the last 24 years, I've mixed monitors for hundreds of touring artists and music legends of all types," he says. He's spent the last 10 years at the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, Ind., but other clients include the Genesis Convention Center in Gary, Ind., Music Lab Inc. in Lansing, Ill. and many years with Aretha Franklin.
