Bosch Restructures Following Telex Acquisition

LONDON — In the wake of their acquisition of Telex Communications in July, 2006, Bosch has begun to restructure the Telex organization. What was once Telex/EVI has now been designated Bosch's Communications Systems Division. This new division will include Electro-Voice, Dynacord, Midas and Klark-Teknik.

Mathias von Heydekampf, the former Telex Pro Audio president, will take over the leadership of sales/marketing in the Bosch Communications Systems division, a unit within Bosch's Securities Division. Bosch's Robert Mulatz will assume responsibility for product management.

Of note is the elimination of the director of U.S. concert sound position held by Mick Whelan. Over a 30-year career, Whelan provided sound for such artists as Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, the Beach Boys and Carole King, among others. For more than five years, Whelan has served as the flag-bearer for the Telex family of concert sound brands. Prior to his time with Telex, Whelan held similar positions with both Crown and JBL.
