ORLANDO, FL — Radian Audio Engineering, Inc, a manufacturer of speaker systems and audio components, has announced that 120 of its 8- and 12-inch ceiling speakers have been installed in the Grand Ballroom at the Marriott World Resort in Orlando, FL. Under the direction of Miami-based A/V systems integrator Pro Sound Inc. (www.prosound.net), the Radian ceiling speakers were a component in the $500,000 upgrade to the 8600-square foot ballroom. The 26-foot ceiling creates a 223,000-cubic foot space that requires audio sound components that will provide consistent volume and sound balance to any section of the room, regardless of a listener's location or height.
"Achieving a perfectly balanced sound chamber is the measure of the audio artist's design capabilities and selection of what audio components will best fulfill the acoustic plan," said a spokesperson for Pro Sound's Marriott upgrade project.
Pro Sound installed 48 eight-inch (Model 508/2BC) and 72 twelve-inch (Model 512/2BC) Radian Audio coaxial ceiling speakers.
Said Michael Palmer, Radian's manager of marketing & sales. "The acoustical demands of the Grand Ballroom show off the capabilities of the 508 and 512 speakers regardless of occupancy and the type of sounds being delivered."
