BRUNSWICK, GA — Atlanta Sound & Lighting are a full-service event production company, and they deployed their EV XLC rig for a recent concert by Hank Williams, Jr., in Brunswick, Ga, on October 27. "This was a cool event to be involved in," says ASL's Steven Dublin Stapleton, FOH engineer for the show. "This event was for Single Point Productions, down on the Golden Isles Speedway just outside Brunswick GA. This was a Hank show, so ample SPL was a big concern!"
ASL provided arrays of 12 XLC 127s per side, with six flown XLC 118s per side and four ground-stacked EV MT2s per side. They also provided two flown EV X-Array Xn boxes over two EV MT2s, along with 10 Xw12 and 10 Xw15 monitors, controlled by EV Dx38 processors and powered by EV CP 3000S amplifiers. FOH console for Hank Jr. was a Midas Heritage 3000; everyone else fitted festival-style on a Midas Verona 480.
