JERSEY CITY, NJ–Production services provider Big Mo Pro, Inc of Parsippany, NJ, recently brought out its L-ACOUSTICS Kudo rig for a pair of events at Liberty State Park on Jersey City's waterfront. With Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan as the spectacular backdrop, BMP provided sound and lighting for the big LibertyJAM concert on Sunday, June 25, featuring a stellar lineup of artists, including Cheap Trick, George Clinton & Parliament/Funkadelic, Los Lobos, Patti Smith, The Smithereens, Fab Faux, John Eddie and Exit 105. Celebrating the park's historic 30th anniversary, the purpose of the event was raise funds to benefit The Friends of Liberty State Park, a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to preserving and improving the park for free public use. For concert sound reinforcement, BMP chose to fly a twin pair of 15-box KUDO arrays. Down on the 50' x 40' Stageline SAM550 stage augmented with numerous extension decks, BMP additionally deployed 16 L-ACOUSTICS 112XT stage wedges plus two 115XT on the drum risers over subs.
Then, just over a week later, Big Mo Pro brought its KUDO rig out to the waterfront again to provide reinforcement for Liberty State Park's Independence Day festivities, which culminated with a live synchronized performance by the New York Pops in Manhattan accompanying Macy's 30th Annual Fourth of July fireworks extravaganza.
