Rational Acoustics Announces Two New Hires

WOODSTOCK, CT – Rational Acoustics has announced the addition of Jake Bedard in the role of Application Support Specialist and Dan Whalen in the newly created position of Digital Content Creator.

As Application Support Specialist, Jake will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking technical expertise and support in the use of Rational Acoustics products. He will assist users via email, phone, and web channels in effectively implementing and troubleshooting Smaart software and will contribute to the ongoing creation and maintenance of the online Smaart support knowledge base. He will also provide input on customer issues, needs and preferences as they relate to product development and improvement.

Jake comes to Rational with an extensive background in customer service, most recently at Whole Foods, and holds a BA in English and an AA in Jazz Studies from Rhode Island College. He also teaches guitar and is the lead guitarist for several heavy metal bands including Vantablack, Vesta in Ruin and Abyssius.

Dan Whalen comes to Rational with a BA and a Master’s degree in Communication from the University of Connecticut, where he was also the audio engineer for the UConn Marching Band. Prior to joining Rational, Dan was a Multimedia Communications Designer for the Mohegan Sun Casino and a freelance multimedia designer. As Digital Content Creator, Dan will be responsible for creating video and multimedia content across multiple communications channels in support of Rational Acoustics educational, technical support and marketing initiatives.
