LAS VEGAS – From early-stage startups and edge-of-the-art media technologies to industry powerhouses debuting boundary-pushing products and technologies, a dynamic roster of nearly 1,300 exhibitors have been presenting the forefront of innovation at the 2024 NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 13-17 (Exhibits April 14-17).
More details from NAB (www.nabshow.com):
With 65,000-70,000 attendees from 160 countries and 575 international exhibitors from 41 countries, NAB Show is the world’s largest marketplace featuring advanced technologies and solutions from the latest gear to generative AI to ATSC 3.0 and beyond, exploring the impact of the newest tech on storytelling, business models and society as a whole.
“As the place for all things broadcast, media and entertainment, exhibitors at this year’s NAB Show are bringing their A-game as they debut and showcase new tech that promises to revolutionize content creation, distribution and consumption,” said Eric Trabb, NAB Global Connections and Events, senior vice president and chief customer success officer. “The Show cultivates relationships and serves as a catalyst, driving discussions into next generation technologies and partnerships that drive the industry forward.”
Now in its 101st year, NAB Show has always showcased groundbreaking technologies — from the early days of video tape to the latest advancements in areas such as robotics, AI and wireless transmission. This year’s Show grows with more than 200 new exhibitors to nearly 1,300 total, spread across 700,000 sq. ft., up 10 percent from last year.
Nearly three-quarters of attendees are buyers, with a collective buying power of $17 billion. Obviously much of that attention is on visual media systems, but we uncovered some interesting new products for sound reinforcement users among the nearly 1,300 exhibitors on the show floor. Let’s focus on a few of these developments, listed alphabetically. Let’s focus on a few of these developments, listed alphabetically.

V1742 also provides a free bump in Mustard processing numbers for Quantum7 and Quantum5 customers. V1742 also offers Quantum7 and Quantum5 customers a bump in Mustard processing numbers for free, and supports an internal Fourier Interface Card, integration for running the KLANG:app from the console and native worksurface control of Meyer Sound’s Spacemap Go and Adamson’s FletcherMachine — among other benefits. digico.biz; NAB Booth C6307
KLANG:technologies’ new KOS 5.5 operating system is a free download that simplifies and reduces setup time for all of KLANG’s second-gen devices, including :konductor, :kontroller, and :vokal, as well as DiGiCo’s DMI-KLANG card. DiGiCo console Integration “Lite” puts both console and KLANG channel labels in perfect sync. Firing a snapshot on the Quantum or SD-Range console will fire the corresponding snapshot in KLANG, and whenever a console session is loaded or saved, a corresponding KLANG session is also saved. KOS 5.5 also improves improving Dante network stability and latency and eases patching of Dante channels to a KLANG mix directly from KLANG:app and KLANG:kontroller without the need for Dante Controller.
