Moose Sound LA212A Line Array
Moose Sound’s LA212A line array is a dual-12″ 3-way system, available in powered or passive versions

Shown at Prolight+Sound 2024 in Frankfurt, the LA212A from Portugal-based Moose Sound is a compact and powerful 3-way line array element designed to deliver nothing but high performance, detailed highs and a well-defined midrange.

Based on a ‘’hybrid’’ configuration/layout, the LF section features two horn-loaded 12″ (3” VC) LF neodymium woofers, the MF section has four 6″ (2” VC) neodymium mid-bass drivers (front loaded with phase correction) and the HF section is handled by two 1.4″-exit neodymium compression drivers coupled to a waveguide, resulting in a combination that ensures linear high-frequency response, powerful and crystal clear reproduction and high SPLs with an extended frequency response.

As a self-powered system (an unpowered version is also offered), the LA212A incorporates 3-channels of Class-D amplification (3,000W to LF; 1,000W to MF; 500W to HF), fully programmable 24-bit / 96kHz DSP and a LCD screen turning into a powerful tool for accessing speaker parameters, including operating modes and network settings. Response is stated as 55 Hz – 18k Hz (-6dB), with 143 dB peak SPL at 1 meter.

It is prepared for worldwide operation, with its 85-264 VAC global mains voltage (SMPS with PFC). The LA212A’s rugged enclosure is manufactured using 15/18mm birch plywood painted in hard-wearing and durable polyurea coating, equipped with fully integrated 3-point rigging hardware with quick-release bolts/pins to ensure fast and easy setup, providing the necessary accessories such as fly bars and dolly/carts for transport.

A variety of optional subwoofers are available.
