BACKNANG, Germany – d&b audiotechnik appointed sound engineer and product designer Robb Allan as principal product manager for d&b Soundscape. Allan joins the team led by d&b’s vice president of immersive, Al McKinna, reinforcing the company‘s dedication to the advancement of immersive audio technologies.

With an impressive career in professional audio spanning touring, studio, and television, Allan brings unparalleled expertise to his new role. His extensive experience includes working with artists such as Radiohead, Massive Attack, Groove Armada, and Coldplay, as well as being a key contributor to product development initiatives at digital mixing console manufacturer Avid.
“Robb is a well-known figure in the global touring industry, earning the trust of major artists and demonstrating a deep understanding of their creative processes,” states Al McKinna. “His experience in designing user interfaces for live sound further enhances his suitability to lead the Soundscape business.
