Multiple Tony Award-winning sound designer Jonathan Deans talks about his latest project — the musical “Buena Vista Social Club” at New York’s Atlantic Theater Company — working with PRG (www.prg.com), the world’s leading provider of services and solutions for entertainment and events. For the first time in a theatre environment, the show employed the wave synthesis features of the advanced Holoplot sound system to shape the sound for the venue’s difficult acoustical environment, and give life to retell the story of the show’s Grammy-winning Afro-Cuban rhythms that once moved a nation and, after a revolution and decades of silence, touched the world.
