Event Details

Every year for nearly a century, members of the Saints Cosmas and Damian Society have undertaken an annual ritual paying homage to these two saints devoted to health and healing – twin brothers hailing from Arabia who promoted Christianity and served the poor as physicians and surgeons before facing religious persecution and dying as martyrs around 300 AD. Along with daily processions with marching bands and the money-adorned statues of the saints, the three-day festival includes Italian street food, a block party vibe with kids’ rides and games and free live music. This year’s lineup at the Warren Street Stage included performances by Wayne Newton, Stevie B. and Carl Gardiner’s The Coasters among others.
