DAS Audio proudly unveiled its SARA-100 compact Line Array system at the MusArt Festival held in Piazza della Santissima Annunziata in July 2023. The debut of the SARA-100 marked a significant milestone for DAS Audio, as it garnered enthusiastic feedback from audio professionals and artists alike during performances by renowned artists Venditti & De Gregori.

For the MusArt Festival, DAS Audio worked with longtime distributor ZZiPP Group and Amandla on the deployment of the SARA-100 system.

The challenge at hand was to introduce the SARA-100 to the discerning Italian market and demonstrate its capabilities in a demanding live event environment. The historic Piazza della Santissima Annunziata presented a formidable backdrop, having hosted numerous top-tier audio systems in the past. The SARA-100 had to not only meet but exceed the expectations of audio professionals and artists.

The DAS Audio gear list included the SARA-100 Line Array System SARA-SUB Single 18’’ Subwoofer along with ALMA software for system management. Pietro Sciagrà, a key member of the Amandla Production team, remarked, “The challenge of utilizing it in a historic piazza…was not a small feat, but the SARA-100 exceeded all expectations.”

Incorporating the advanced features of the SARA-100, which is part of the ARA series, proved pivotal. The system features an active cabinet with a 3000-Watt class D amplifier, two 8’’ woofers, and a 3’’ M-78N compression driver, providing a remarkable 100° horizontal dispersion. This seamlessly integrated with the SARA-SUB single 18’’, creating a comprehensive audio solution.

The chosen configuration for the MusArt Festival adopted an L+R setup, deploying 10 SARA-100 modules on each side and complementing them with a sub Array comprised of 12 SARA Sub units. This meticulously designed setup delivered not only exceptional clarity but also an impressive sound range that met and exceeded the demands of the challenging venue.

In addition to the hardware, the ALMA software, which manages the SARA-100, received accolades for its user-friendly interface and comprehensive capabilities. This software played a crucial role in optimizing the system’s performance, enabling sound engineers to fine-tune audio parameters with ease.

“It’s a privilege to be the first to introduce this system in Italy. The clarity and range of the sound produced was truly remarkable,” said Sciagrà.

The MusArt Festival served as an ideal platform for the SARA100’s debut, allowing industry professionals and artists to experience its versatility and efficiency across a wide range of performance genres. From ballet to rock concerts, the SARA100 showcased its adaptability and audio excellence, earning praise from all corners.

This successful showcase not only reaffirms DAS Audio’s commitment to audio excellence but also sets a high standard for the SARA-100’s future contributions to the world of sound. As the system gains recognition and continues to impress in challenging environments, it solidifies its position as a game-changing innovation in the world of professional audio.
