BANGKOK, Thailand — Nestled along Ekkamai Street in one of Bangkok’s trendy nightlife neighborhoods, The Taste Club recently turned to Bangkok-based integrator Sonos Libra for a solution that would take this DJ-oriented dance club to the next level.
Sonos Libra’s suggestion was an Adamson system centered around the company’s S Series point source enclosures with two IS10p serving as left/right mains and two IS7px as rear delay fills. The IS10p’s feature dual 10” ND10-LM MF/LF drivers and an NH3-8 1.4” exit compression driver on a smooth prolate spheroidal waveguide.
Low-frequency reinforcement — all-important in the dance culture — was handled by two Adamson IS219 subwoofers, each with twin SD19 19” Kevlar neodymium drivers and capable of 143 dB max SPLs. Sonos Libra also selected two Adamson Point8 speakers for VIP fills and another two Point8 as DJ monitors. Powering was via Lab Gruppen D-Series D80:4L and D120:4L amplifiers.
The control package was all-Allen & Heath, with an AHM16 matrix mixer and an SQ5 digital console.
