Event Details
The Global Citizen Festival, which got its start in 2012 with a mission to provide free tickets to those demonstrating a commitment to end world poverty, hosted top acts once again in NYC’s Central Park on Sept. 24 including Metallica, Mariah Carey and the Jonas Brothers, among many others. This year, organizers also staged an event in Accra, Ghana the same day. The Central Park event also featured a greeting by New York mayor Eric Adams, and U.S. House of Representatives speaker Nancy Pelosi joined Priyanka Chopra onstage in support for the festival’s overall mission of helping to fight poverty around the world.
