Lewitt Audio is previewing its MTP W950 Modular Microphone System, a handheld live vocal mic that combines studio technology with excellent feedback and bleed rejection.The mic boasts a 1″ true condenser capsule that is detachable from the handle for use with industry-standard (Shure screw-on) wireless systems. Other features include switchable cardioid and supercardioid polar patterns, a -12 dB attenuation switch and a switchable 120 Hz low-cut filter to reduce structure-borne noise, remove unwanted low-end frequencies or reduce the proximity effect.
The MTP W950’s dual-layer mesh at the top of the capsule reduces pop and wind noise and protects the capsule from condensation while retaining clarity. Additionally, the mic’s cupping-safe design avoids tonal coloration shifts even when the singer is grabbing the MTP W950 over the basket.
Deliveries are projected for Q4, 2022.
