Event Details:

After having to be held as a virtual event in 2020, the 76th annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner took place as an in-person event Oct. 21 at the Jacob K. Javits Center Overview Room. Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice gave the keynote speech for the event, which honored Frank Bennack, Jr. with the annual “Happy Warrior” award and also featured Maria Bartiromo as MC. The dinner, a fundraiser for needy children organized by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, is named for Al Smith, governor of New York from 1923 to 1928.
