Radio Active Designs Notes T-Mobile’s Rapid Utilization of 600MHz Band Across the Country

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Radio Active Designs, the company set up to help intercom systems users navigate an increasingly challenged RF landscape, noted the faster-than-anticipated use of the 600MHz wireless band by T-Mobile, one of the companies that acquired a large chunk of spectrum for its own use after the completion of the FCC 600 MHz auction.

In an early April email alert, Radio Active Designs CTO James Stoffo noted that T-Mobile will be, or already is, operating in the 600MHz band in Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, New York, Phoenix, and most of California and Florida in 2018.

“Everyone who operates wireless microphones, intercom, in ear monitors and IFB’s in the 600MHz band should check if they are affected by T-Mobile’s deployments and vacate those bands so as not to suffer (or cause) interference,” Stoffo warned.

The company also provided a link for a detailed look of where T-Mobile is now, and will later this year, be operating in the 600MHz spectrum; it can be accessed via www.plsn.me/RAD-TM.
