Eventide’s new version its H9 Control app for Windows, Mac, and iOS is now available. It includes a number of UI enhancements suggested by users and delivers a new algorithm to the H9: EQ Compressor for H9 (screen shot pictured here). The company also noted that the EQ Compressor is available free to H9 owners through June 20.

EQ Compressor combines a multi-featured, parametric equalizer with a dynamic, intuitive compressor to create a powerful tone shaping tool for guitar, voice, or any spectrally-rich sound.
The EQ section is comprised of four independent filters: two parametric bands, a low shelf and a high shelf. H9 Control’s graphical interface makes carving your tone easy.
Combining the tone-shaping ability of an EQ with the dynamics processing of a compressor makes for a world tone fun. The compressor section can be placed before or after the EQ and features up to 12 dB of boost to push an amp to awesomeness and beyond for your soul-shredding solos, enabling you to emphasize, harness, and control the parts of your sound you want to shine through a mix
