Flare Audio’s SM15 Stage Monitor is designed to help live music venues optimize stage space. The compact (384mm x 595mm x 421mm) and lightweight (28kg) units are designed with 15″ and 1″ drivers capable of producing ample power (Max SPL of 133.5dB) for a wide array of applications. More details from Flare Audio (www.flareaudio.com):

The versatile SM15 uses Flare’s Vortex technology for great feedback stability, and can be used at either a 40 or 55 degree angle.

The first venue to use the new SM15s is The Half Moon in Putney:

Stevie Wyatt – Chief Engineer at The Half Moon:

“The (SM15s) deliver consistent high fidelity and vocal clarity no matter how hard you push the system, there are no holes in the coverage, they are super loud – it really is the perfect system for the venue.”

Flare Audio’s design focus is to aim to address all audio needs, from delivering premium, controllable live events sound, to enabling engineers and artists to achieve true sound in the studio.

Flare speakers use Space enclosure structure and Vortex porting technology in their designs. Space prevents resonance or internal reflections from being created. This means that there is no need to control resonance through enclosure design or dampening. No resonance means no rear-reflected sound wave damage, which leads to pure sound, audible exactly as the artist intended.

Vortex porting technology allows pressure release from the speaker without sound interference to create a true infinite baffle.
