NEW YORK — ACS, which makes soft-silicone custom in-ear monitors and hearing protection products, has opened a new office and lab within SIR’s rehearsal facility in midtown Manhattan.
More details from ACS (www.acscustom.com):
Since 1994, ACS has led the way across U.K. and Europe in making soft silicone, comfortable custom-fit IEMs and hearing protection. With a client base including major European touring bands such as Keane, Kasabian and One Direction, the launch of the new U.S. base will provide them and potential new customers with a more personal and speedy service when on tour in the states.
Heading up ACS US is the U.K.’s former sales manager, Adam Rhodes. “We recognize that busy touring musicians and engineers’ time is at a premium,” Rhodes said. “Basing ourselves with a fully functional lab here at SIR gives us the ability to take ear impressions in the comfort of the studio and work on the IEM or earplugs in time for load out. If bands are here for longer than a day, we could even have them ready for the second day of rehearsals.”
ACS customers will also be able to shop for spares and accessories and pick up ready-to-go generic IEMs and hearing protection. ACS will also offer a call-out impression taking service across New York. For customers outside of New York, ACS has a network of product providers across USA that can be found on its website at www.acscustom.com/us.
