SAO PAULO, Brazil — Cadac named Decomac as its distributor in Brazil. Decomac helped introduce the brand to the market at ExpoMusic Brazil here in late September, where the focal point was Cadac’s new CDC Eight digital console. Cadac international sales manager, Ben Millson, was also at the show in Sao Paulo, which also featured Cadac’s CDC Four, S-Type and Live1 consoles.
“Decomac attracted our attention some moths ago, due to their strong market position and a great product portfolio that only lacked a leading console brand; Cadac is in good company, within a lineup that includes d&b, DAS, Lab Gruppen, Lake, Jands and Antari,” Millson said.
“The company covers multiple market sectors, from the pro audio retail channel to the top end of the sound touring and installation markets. Their sales network is among the best and most experienced in Brazil; with most reps having a good background as live sound engineers with some of Brazil’s greatest artists,” he continued.
“Decomac also works very closely with Macaio, our distributor in Argentina and Chile, which enables us to cover the three main South American markets exceptionally well, providing highly integrated product support and customer service,” Millson added.
Cadac’s ExpoMusic debut and the company’s CDC Eight drew notice, Millson said. “We had multiple hire and production companies on the stand who were all very impressed with the consoles. We also had the country’s top sound engineers come onto the stand repeatedly, who were all especially taken with the CDC Eight.”
Decomac directors Guillermo Distefano and Omar Diaz Blasco affirmed the interest generated by the CDC Eight, calling it the “star attraction of the show.”
