SAN DIEGO, CA — VUE Audiotechnik announced that pro audio veteran Mark Engebretson has joined the company’s engineering team. There, he will be working as an engineering consultant, overseeing development and patent efforts for several advanced audio technologies slated for deployment throughout the VUE Audiotechnik line over the next 24 months.

Prior to joining VUE Audiotechnik, Engebretson served as VP of R&D and chief design architect for QSC. Prior to that, he held a leadership position at JBL Professional’s Northridge, CA-based R&D department. Other highlights include a stint at Summit Laboratories, vice president of product development for Altec Lansing and VP of R&D for Paramount Pictures.
In 2002, Engebretson was honored at the 74th Academy Awards with a Scientific and Engineering Award for his contributions in the design and engineering of the modern constant-directivity, direct radiator style motion picture loudspeaker systems.
