HIGH WYCOMBE, UK — Focusrite Audio Engineering Ltd. named pro audio veteran Dave Froker managing director. Owner and incumbent managing director Phil Dudderidge will remain on board as executive chairman, focusing on corporate and business development matters and, in his own words, “keeping the culture of Focusrite Novation true to its roots and mission.”
“Focusrite has grown more than 167 percent over the past three years,” Dudderidge noted, “and the time has come to bring new management leadership into the business to enable the next phase of growth. Dave Froker is not only an old friend but the best-qualified candidate to take over from me that I could imagine.”
Froker joins Focusrite having previously held the posts of general manager at Digidesign, president at Stanton Group, and senior vice president of product marketing at Line 6. He is relocating from California to the U.K. with his wife to take up the post.
“Phil and I have known each other since 1994, when I approached him to enlist Focusrite as a plug-in developer at Digidesign,” Froker said. “The ensuing relationship achieved great results for both companies, and I have always enjoyed working together with Phil, Rob Jenkins and the Focusrite management team. Being invited to lead that team is a great honor and privilege, and I look forward to the challenge of further growing the business with them.”
