PHOENIX — Atlas Sound acquired A-Line Acoustics and will incorporate A-Line’s line array speaker systems and other products within the Atlas A-Line Acoustics product category.
A-Line Acoustics, founded in 2001 by industry veteran Tony Faranda, provided audio gear to arenas, amphitheaters, parks, nightclubs and houses of worship. The company holds multiple patents including its EZAL rigging system.
“This is the perfect marriage for us,” said Faranda, who has been named A-Line Sales Manager for Atlas A-Line Acoustics. “With the backing of Atlas Sound’s manufacturing and sales arms, there is no limit to where we can go in the pro audio industry.”
A-Line products now set to be produced at Atlas’ facility in Monroe, WI include AL8, AL10 and AL12 large format systems and matching subwoofers, “Emma” series modular install and portable models, “Elijah” portable line array systems and “Eli” small venue line array systems. They will be available Atlas Sound dealers and distributors starting in July 2012.
“Our immediate priority is to provide the consultant community with measurement data for all models and then hit the streets with demo systems so everyone can experience the sound quality of these exciting new products,” said Atlas Sound chairman and CEO Loyd Ivey.
