KUALA BELAIT, Brunei – The Brunei Shell Petroleum Company (BSP)'s new Pusat Insani community center, which includes a 1,500-capacity multipurpose hall along with a gymnasium, a VIP lounge, a learning center and other modern amenities, has been equipped with a sound system designed, supplied and installed by Singapore-based Synergy AVL, a distributor of Outline products.
For the main hall, Synergy AVL provided 18 Outline Mantas, 4 Outline Subtech 218 subwoofers, 8 Outline T-Five digital amplifiers and a single Outline Genius 26 DSP controller. Other equipment includes 6 Outline Hard 115 SP, used as stage wedges, and a pair of Outline MICRA II used as booth monitors.
Synergy AVL also equipped Outline gear for other areas in the complex, choosing gear that combined sonic performance with low visual impact. For the gymnasium and aerobics venue, there are four Outline DVS 8 SP powered speakers with low frequency support from a single Outline LAB 15 SP powered sub. In the VIP Lounge, there are eight Outline DVS 8 SP speakers.
Headed by senior project manager Chip Chong, the Synergy team completed the project within its given six-month schedule, on budget. The project received support from manufacturers and suppliers that included on-site visits. The complex opened in style with a ceremony attended by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei.
