DANA POINT, CA – Dutch loudspeaker manufacturer Alcons Audio formed Alcons Audio USA, based here. Alcons Audio USA will be headed by David Rahn, who had previously served as national sales manager at Renkus Heinz, and Pauline Ortiz y Pino, who was named business development specialist.
"What intrigued me most about this opportunity was not only the reputation that Alcons Audio has developed in such a short time, but the technology behind the Alcons Audio loudspeaker systems," said Rahn, referring to the company's pro-ribbon sound systems.
"We are honored to have been chosen to join the Alcons Audio team and to introduce this evolutionary product to North America," added Ortiz y Pino. "The reception to the brand around the world has been incredible and this is the perfect time to establish the company's North American office."
"The U.S. market is very important," says Alcons' co-founder and managing director, Tom Back, noting expansion plans for live sound products including the forthcoming LR24 mid-size line-array with Sentinel amplified controllers.
"The growth of the company has always been organic, and we decided not to enter the U.S. until we were able to establish our own office there, allowing us to provide the comprehensive support our customers deserve," Back added.
