OLD LYME, CT – Sennheiser named Peter Claussen president of its Installed Sound division, effective Aug. 1. Claussen, 47, joins Sennheiser from the IT company Höft & Wessel AG, where he served as deputy chairman of the management board. He will assume responsibilities previously handled by Dr. Heinrich Esser, and will also serve as a member of Sennheiser's executive management board.
"I'm really looking forward to this new challenge, as the Installed Sound area is increasingly becoming a systems business," Claussen said. "I can therefore apply my extensive experience from the IT sector to firmly establish Sennheiser's position in meeting the market requirements in the long term."
Prior to Höft & Wessel AG, Claussen worked for seven years in various posts at Hewlett-Packard in Germany and the U.S.
