LONDON – British authorities have completed a major crackdown on counterfeit goods, seizing gear with forged Sennheiser and Monster Cable branding from the premises of an organization involved in distributing the illegal knockoffs online. Sennheiser and Monster Cable helped investigators confirm that the illegal goods were, in fact, fakes.
"Trademark and product piracy is a crime that costs consumers and the industry billions every year," said Volker Bartels, president of corporate services at Sennheiser. "We would like to thank the TSS for their vigorous intervention and their uncompromising protection of our intellectual property."
Sennheiser has also worked with prosecuting authorities in the Far East, specifically China. "We set an extremely high value on worldwide action against counterfeiting, not only protecting our brand, but more importantly, protecting our customers from purchasing fake equipment," Bartels said.
